Game runs very smoothly, also never found a single bug. This triggers the "void" ending, which is a little bit better than the good one. There also is some sort of "secret ending", where you can shoot yourself 6 times with the gun in the basement. Here, you simply have to move against it, which took me a while to realize. For example, in the previous chapters, you have to interact and trigger a cutscene to remove an object in front of a door. This is also where for some reason changes to the gameplay were made. Rakan chasing you isn't half as intense as the other ones, no terrifying sounds and let's be honest, a guy with crutches just isn't it. The hospital sequence was rather annoying and boring. This chapter just can't hold up to the others. This chapter leads to the "good" ending, which, in my opinion is very anticlimatic. Some levels are much more interesting than others though. Lots of puzzles, impressive visuals and all in all a very mysterious chapter. You have to complete the others to complete this one. Atmosphere is always very uncomfortable and really well made.īasically the chapter about the protagonist. Feels more like a really intense trip than a horror game at some points, especially in Dolores' chapter. These are by far the most intense and interesting chapters.
The Story consists of multiple chapters, which don't have to be played chronologically.
As the story progresses, you'll slowly realise what's going on. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's tedious and sometimes it's straight up impossible without looking up some kind of walkthrough, but maybe that's just my troglodyte brain.Īll you're getting told is that there's chapters and collectibles in the house. You get thrown into cold water and have to figure out ♥♥♥♥ by yourself. This game doesn't really explain anything. Experience this game if you are a fan of the horror genre. The puzzles are well done if you're able to actually figure out what to do while ***ting your pants. When the jump scares do hit you, they hit hard. Most of the the scares aren't even jump scares, the intensity of the atmosphere mixed with the sound, the story, paranormal phenomenon that you witness it all adds up to one of the most intense fear induced pieces of media I've consumed. I struggle to even turn around, I cannot understate how scary this game is. The best sound design I've ever heard in a game, every single noise will send shivers down your spine. These developers are extremely talented as the game keeps you in a constant state of paranoia and fear. I haven't even finished it, as I struggle to play for more than an hour or two at a time. I've played and completed every good horror game, Visage is by far the most terrifying game I've ever played.
